Just because a home is brand new, doesn’t mean it is exempt from problems that might cause costly headaches later on. Many contractors and subcontractors are currently struggling to find enough laborers to keep up with demand. This has resulted in many laborers added to the job site who aren’t as skilled or experienced. Which, in turn, has led to a very sharp increase in problems that we are finding in newly constructed homes.
But aren’t new homes already inspected by the builder or city inspector?
Yes, newly constructed homes are subject to inspections by the city, and builders will also do a final walkthrough/inspection. What we provide as a licensed and professional home inspection company is a much more in-depth and detailed inspection service. We’ll search high and low, through every nook and cranny, and provide a full-color detailed report of your new home. If we find any issues or areas of concern, our customers can have them corrected before they move in or before or taking ownership. Even small mistakes or problems, if gone undetected, can cause serious and costly problems later on. By that time, they are more difficult to get resolved, especially when builder warranties have expired.
