HOLY SMOKES – Fire damage discovered under the house!
At some point in the history of this home, there was a fire, and instead of replacing damaged materials, they were re-used underneath the house where they were not visible.  Any building material that has been subjected to high temperatures, even if they don’t show this level of char or soot, typically should not be salvaged or reused.  


EW! – Sewer line leak under the house with a laundry vent that is taped together. 
This is another case of a home the looked perfectly normal from the outside and on the inside, but what lurked underneath was a serious health hazard.  Raw sewage was leaking from the sewer pipe onto the floor of the crawlspace.   Also, you can see a laundry vent behind that was patched with duct tape that has failed and started to unravel.
